Carley Studios beauty salon in Port Elizabeth is really excited to be part of something extra special happening in PE this Saturday, the 29th of June.
If you’ve never heard of it before, then now is a good time to introduce you to the “Rise” movement.
This project belongs to Rachel Kolisi and Tammy Rawstron and was created especially for women from all walks of life.
The purpose behind Rise is to bring awareness towards the strength of a woman and to motivate and encourage all women to strive to be the very best versions of themselves, whatever that may be to them.
Rachel is a full-time mother of 4 and wife to Springbok Rugby captain, Siya Kolisi. Being the driving force behind her family, she realised that having a loving support system is extremely valuable to her.
She then came to realise that, who better to understand her than other women, and what better support system could she have than an entire community of women who all share the same goals and face the same hurdles?
Consequently, Rise was born and Tammy was there to start the initiative with Rachel. A feisty team of resilience and motivation, they now share with us the chance to Rise, with their events which take place all over South Africa.
Tammy is a fitness coach and advocate for sisterhood among all women. She believes in the power of positive reinforcement and encouragement and finds joy in watching women realise their own power.
Together they are a powerhouse of girl power and have developed a fun, interactive programme for anyone who attends their event.
During the workshop, they will guide you through an easy, fun exercise routine followed by motivational talks. They also provide the opportunity for women to share their deepest fears and greatest joys with one another, without fear or judgement.
Why Do We Love Rise Events?
The focus of these events is not to learn how to diet and get skinny, but rather to encourage women to work passionately towards a healthy body, mind and spirit.
A prominent theme is one of body positivity as well as self-love and acceptance which are things that we lack as modern women living in a world that expects us to be picture perfect.
This is a powerful opportunity for women to learn how to help each other grow through establishing a strong sisterhood with ladies across South Africa.
Rachel and Tammy are also deeply involved with helping women in underprivileged communities by offering them opportunities to develop skills so they can rise above their circumstances and regain power over their lives.
Anyone who attends their workshops will be indirectly contributing to this cause and helping to build a brighter future for the women of South Africa.
